Elizabeth Mohl, daughter of George B. and Marie K. (Schotthauer) Dumler, was born Sept. 10, 1895, at Topeka, KS. She died Dec. 18, 1971, after several months of failing health at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 8 days. She moved to the Russell area with her parents when she was only three years old. After receiveing her education in the Russell area schools, she taught in the rural schools of Russell County until her marriage to Edward W. Mohl on April 14, 1920, at K.C., MO. They made the Mohl farmstead south of Russell their home until 1928 when they moved to Russell to live. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and was active in the work of the church and served on the Board of Deacons for many years. She helped organize and served as chairman of the American Red Cross Grey Ladies since its beginning over ten years ago.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one brother, Ed Dumler and one sister, Mrs. Julia Rogg. Survivors include three brothers, Albert Dumler, Watsonville, CA; Carl Dumler, San Diego, CA; and Rudy Dumler, Russell; also three sisters, Pauline Dumler, Yucaipa, CA; Mrs. Marie Meier, Wichita; and Mrs. Grace Wilkerson, Russell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20 at First Congregational Church, Rev. Delbert McLaughlin officiating. Pall bearers were Fred Mohl, Tim Miller, Lawrence Mohl, Harold Dawson, Don Dawson, and James Osborn. Burial was in Russell Cemetery. Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell was in charge.
