Pauline Dumler
Pauline Dumler, daughter of George B. and Maria Katherine (Schlotthauser) Dumler, was born May 5, 1901, at Russell, Kansas. Her death occurred on Feb. 24, 1986 in Russell City Hospital after several years of failing health. Her age was 84 years 9 months and 22 days.
Pauline lived her early life in the Russell community and graduated from Russell High School. For a few years she taught school. She began her work as a store clerk at L. Banker Mercantile at Wakeeney. She lived in Wyoming for a short time before she began work with General Dynamics at Pomona, California, where she worked until she retired in 1970. She was a tool dispatcher at the missile plant during most of her years with General Dynamics.
After her retirement she moved to Kingman, Arizona, where she lived until her health failed, requiring closer personal attention. In 1983 she moved back to Russell, Kansas, to make her home with her sister, Grace Wilkerson.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Kingman, Arizona, and had transferred her membership to St. John Lutheran Church of Russell. She had been a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Marie Meier, Elizabeth Mohl and Julia Rogg; and three brothers, Ed Dumler, Albert Dumler and Rudolph G. Dumler.
Survivors are her sister, Grace Wilkerson, of Russell; a brother, Carl Dumler, of San Diego, California, a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
