Clem was a gambler and lived the "high" life in Nevada at times. Also worked as a quartz miner in Nevada. 1930 census he is living in Elkhorn, San Joaquin Co., California, working as a laborer. 1940 census he is back in Nevada, living at a boarding house at Battle Mountain, working odd jobs. Clem is 3rd person on the right in photo. Clem also lived with his brother, Charles Stopher at Flathead County, Montana for a time, where he worked as a miner. Enlisted in US Army, with his brother Joseph, September 12, 1918.
