Was son of Laben Thomas Stopher and Bertha May Steele. Served in World War One, enlisted at Columbus, Ohio, January 30, 1918. Served as a private in the 15th Calvary, Troop "F", American Expeditionary Forces January 30, 1918 to March 1919. Honorable discharge March 29, 1919. Dewey is standing, top right of photo.

He lived in Los Angeles County in the Pacific Branch National Home for disabled veterans, at Sawtelle. A request for a grave marked was made Sept. 30, 1929 by the hospital: "This application is for the unmarked grave of a soldier."

As far as I have found out it was never received. There is no record I can find for Dewey and information about this particular veterans hospital is almost impossible to locate.
