Clair J. Zumbrum Sr.
HANOVER – Clair J. Zumbrum Sr., 68, of Hanover, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday at his home. He was the husband of Edith (Grim) Zumbrum and the late Catherine (Lawrence) Zumbrum.
The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover. Viewing will be Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Zumbrum was born July 12, 1931, in Brodbecks. He was the son of the late Samuel and Florence (Rinehart) Zumbrum.
He worked at SKF Industries, retiring in 1992 after 33 years of service, and also farmed in the Pleasant Hill area. He was a member of St. Paul's (Dubs) Lutheran Church, Hanover Home Association, the Republican Club of Hanover, and was a life member of Pleasant Hill Fire Company.
Mr. Zumbrum also is survived by four sons, Clair J. Zumbrum Jr., Terry L. Zumbrum, Ronald A. Zumbrum and Karl J. Zumbrum, all of Hanover; a daughter, Darlene M. Eckert of Hanover; two step-sons, Brian J. Small and Dale F. Small, both of Hanover; five step-daughters, Maria L. Zumbrum, Sandra F. Bevenour and Brenda T. Auchey, all of Hanover, Deborah A. Small of York, and Victoria E. Kopp of Brodbecks; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Marlin Zumbrum of East Berlin, and Jesse Zumbrum of Hanover, and three sisters, Betty James, Romaine Fissel and Shirley Wildasin, all of Hanover.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Marshall H. Gante.
