Mrs. Melvin R. Brown
Mamie G. Brown, 54, of 454 S. High St., died Wednesday morning at Hanover General Hospital. She was the widow of Melvin R. Brown.
Born in Brodbecks, she was a daughter of the late Samuel I. and Florence E. Rinehart Zumbrum.
She was a member of St. Paul's (Dub's) Church and the auxiliaries of the Hanover Home Association, McSherrystown Moose and Hanover American Legion.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda J. Trish, 512 York St.; Cherry D. Brown, 1 W. Granger St., and Patricia A. Brown, at home; two sons, Bradley B. Brown and Randy L. Brown, both at home; four grandchildren; three sisters, Betty J. James and Romaine S. Fissel, both of Hanover RD 6, and Shirley A. Wildasin, 1141 Baltimore St., and four brothers, Norman S. Zumbrum, 413 Allegheny Ave.; Clair J. Zumbrum, Hanover RD 2; Marlin E. Zumbrum, 32 Lincoln Drive, and Jesse G. Zumbrum, 332 Park Heights Boulevard.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hicks Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown. Her pastor, the Rev. G. H. W. Roggenkamp, will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday evening at the funeral home.
