77-Year Resident of Ottumwa is Dead
Mrs. Ida Parnell Ferguson, 82, a resident of Ottumwa for the past 77 years, died at 7:30 p. m. Friday at the Ottumwa hospital. She was the wife of the late George Ferguson who died six years ago.
Mrs. Ferguson was born November 22, 1861 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Jeremiah and Mary Ann Parnell. When she was 5 years old she came to Ottumwa with her parents.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Faye Schlaf, Galesburg, Ill.; Mrs. Emma Terrell, Winterset; Mrs. Ray Hobbs, Jesse Ferguson and Jerry Ferguson, all of Ottumwa. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Frank Hogan of Lincoln, Neb., 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday from the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. E. E. Byrd of the East End Presbyterian church.

Ferguson Funeral
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida B. Ferguson, who died Friday evening were held today at 1:30 p. m. At the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. E. D. Byrd, pastor of the East End Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Ottumwa cemetery.
In addition to the survivors previously listed, she is survived by another son, Roy Ferguson of Ottumwa.
