Roy Ferguson, 60, 317 East Main Street, died at Veterans hospital in Iowa City at 9:15 a. m. Tuesday. He had been in poor health for several years.
The son of George and Elizabeth Ferguson, he was born in Ottumwa July 22, 1896, and lived here all his life. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of O. B. Nelson post of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; two brothers, Jerry and Jesse Ferguson, both of Ottumwa, two sisters, Mrs. Ray Hobbs, Ottumwa and Mrs. Leo Terrell, Winterset, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p. m. At the Jay funeral home. The Rev. Wilson Hyde, pastor of Wesley Methodist church will be in charge.
Interment will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. Military services will be held by the American Legion.
