There were five children born to Ida and Leonard, Joseph Earl, Cecil Coyer, Cynthia B. (died as an infant), Sophia Esther Stevens (Scott), Clyde Ingram and Orval Lester Stevens.
Leonard Coyer Stevens died in the Brokaw Hospital Normal, Illinois, of surgery complications. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sophia Esther Stevens Scott (Farmington, Fulton County, Illinois). He left his widow and four sons to mourn his death.
According to his death certificate, funeral home records etc., he was buried in the City Cemetery (now known as the Bloomington Cemetery which is part of the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery). The Old City Cemetery (Bloomington, Illinos)is located in the North part of Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
