Oh, how he loved to fish! There wasn't a lake in Oklahoma he hadn't found. John was the son of Allen Ross Bennett and Maggie Maude Reeves. He was married for 42 years to Trudy Moss, daughter of Willard Moss, Sr., and Jewell McClure. John was a veteran of World War Two and fought with the 82nd airborne. He lost his beloved brother, Nyal Bennett, during the war at Corregidor. John and Trudy were parents of three children. Vicki Jean Bennett Howard; John Allen Bennett, Jr., deceased, and Mike Bennett.
