Kay Dochterman, 79 of Canton, Missouri died July 7, 2017 at the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton. The daughter of Fred and Iva Dill Hartwig was born on July 25, 1937 at Westfield, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Walter Dochterman on September 1, 1956 at Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2010. Kay was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton. She volunteered many hours with the commodities distribution which was held at the church through the Missouri Food Bank. She liked hunting, fishing, gardening (especially growing strawberries), raising birds and just being outdoors. She is survived by three children, seven great-grandchildren, brother, sister, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, Dorothy Oaks, Opal Rubel, Frances Scott and Mary Logsdon, two brothers, Jay Hartwig and David Hartwig. Memorial services were held July 29, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Canton, Missouri with Rev. Brian Stone officiating.
