Mrs. Etha Breaux, 84, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Magnolia Manner in Groves. Mrs. Etha Breaux was a native of Mire, Louisiana; she had lived in Port Arthur since 1948. Etha was born on March 11, 1921 to parents Joseph Ovey Meche and Athenaise Pellerin Meche. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Etha was a loving housewife, mother, grandmother, and friends who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Mrs. Etha Breaux was preceded in death by her son, Nolan Thibodeaux; brothers, Gladue Meche, Gerassin Meche, Eddie Meche; sisters, Mathilda Trahan, Edolia Alleman.

Mrs. Breaux is survived by her son, Ophie Thibodeaux of Brenham, Texas, daughters, Eula Cumming of Nederland, Esther Benoit and her husband, John of Port Arthur, Janette Duke of Port Arthur; sisters, Lorance Quebedeaux of Carencro, LA, Mabel Bernard of Carencro, LA, Nolia Daigle and her husband J.C. of Breaux Bridge, LA; seven grandchildren, ten great children and four great geat grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited a 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at St. Catherine Catholic Church at 2 p.m., with Rev. Kevin Badeaux officiating. A burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kurt Benoit, David McGee, Michael McGee, Britt Borel, Albert Thibodeaux, and Andrus Creduer, Jr.
