CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Larance Meche Quebedeaux, age 89, of Carencro, who passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at her home in Carencro.
Mrs. Quebedeaux was a native of Marais Bouler, LA and a lifelong resident of Carencro. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Carencro where she was a member of the Bonne Mort Society and the St. Anne Society. Larance was a kind and loving woman. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and being with her family. Together with her late husband, David, she owned Dave's Mobile Home Village in Carencro and Dave' Pest Control Service in Lafayette.
Survivors include three daughters, Dianna Thibodeaux, Jackie Quebedeaux, and Brenda Comeaux; one son, Bobby Quebedeaux and his wife, Judy; six grandchildren, Kimberly Simon, Jace Quebedeaux, Rhian Quebedeaux, B. J. Quebedeaux, Holly Comeaux Trahan, and Steven Comeaux; twelve great grandchildren with one more on the way; six great-great grandchildren with one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Ovey Meche; her mother, Athenaise Pellerin Meche; her husband, David Quebedeaux; three brothers, Jerry Meche, Gladu Meche and Eddie Meche; five sisters, Mathilde Trahan, Etha Breaux, Nolia Daigle, Edoila Alleman, and Mable Bernard; two grandchildren, Kelli Lanclos and Jamie Quebedeaux; and a son-in-law, Stanley J. Comeaux.
Pallbearers will be Rhian Thibodeaux, Jace Quebedeaux, Bobbie Joe Thibodeaux, Logan Quebedeaux, Steven Comeaux and Brent Trahan.
Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
