Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 at a 2:00 p.m. Liturgy of the Word in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Brenda Quebedeaux Comeaux, age 65, who passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at her residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, will officiate at the services.

Musical selections will be provided by Charlotte Jagneaux, accompanied by Phyllis Simar on the organ. The songs will be Ave Maria, Hail Mary Gentle Woman, Taste and See, and Here I Am Lord.

Mrs. Comeaux was a native of Lafayette and a lifelong resident of Carencro. She started out her career as a bookkeeper working with her father at Dave's Pest Control, and continued with Stan's Pest Control, and Dave's Mobile Home Village. She also worked for the Cajundome in the catering department, but her favorite job that she was deeply passionate about was being a mother and grandmother. Mrs. Comeaux was also a member of the Bonne Mort Society and St. Anne Society.

Survivors include one son, Steven Comeaux and his wife, Christina, of Cankton; one daughter, Holly Comeaux Trahan and her husband, Brent, of Carencro; seven grandchildren, Gavin Trahan, Chase Trahan, Kate Trahan, Lillian Comeaux, Camille Comeaux, Jolie Comeaux, and one grandbaby on the way; one brother, Bobby Quebedeaux and his wife, Judy, of Broussard; two sisters, Dianna Thibodeaux and Jackie Quebedeaux, both of Lafayette; her caregiver and best friend, Sharon Cimbak; and her companion, Kenny Racca, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Joseph Comeaux; her parents, David Quebedeaux and the former Larance Meche; one nephew, Rhian Quebedeaux; two nieces, Kelli Lanclos and Jamie Quebedeaux; and one great nephew, Rhark Quebedeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Gavin Trahan, Chase Trahan, Jace Quebedeaux, Bobby Joe Quebedeaux, Matthew Gauthier, and Joe Bernard.
