Edward G. Arterburn, 78, of East Hillcrest Road died at 9:12 a.m. Friday, March 17, 1995, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

A Cummins Engine Co. retiree, he was a member of the 10th Street Church of Christ and the Senior Citizens Center.

Funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street, with Gary Henry officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Dialysis Center of Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born Nov. 24, 1916, in Flippin, Ky., he was the son of Samuel and Lura Turner Arterburn. He married Ruth Barringer Dec. 2, 1956. She survives.

Also surviving are sons, Charles and Ray Arterburn of Indianapolis and Tim and Gene Arterburn of Columbus; daughters, Sharon Jones of Garrett and Marie Turner of Orange Park, Fla.; a sister, Wilma Goad of Mount Herman, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
