Michael Wiernusz Sr

Michael A. Wiernusz Sr., 83, of Tunkhannock RD 3 died Wednesday in Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock RD.
Born Sept. 7, 1893, in Poland, he was a retired dairy farmer. He was a member of Church of the Nativity of BVM, Tunkhannock, and a charter member of Father Francis Perkosky Council 5942, K of C.
His wife, the former Frances Rokosz, died in 1931.
Surviving are sons, Edmund, Leonard and Michael Jr., Tunkhannock; Chester, Kingston; daughters, Mrs. Mary Chellis, Mrs. Ann Stroka and Mrs. Cecilia Kobylski, Tunkhannock; 27 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother Martin, Poland.
Funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 from Samuel B Harding Funeral Home, 64 Bridge St., Tunkhannock, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in Church of the Nativity of BVM.
Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wyoming.
Friends ma call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 with rosary Friday night.
