Franciszka (Frances) Rokosz Wiernusz was the wife of Michael Andrew Wiernusz and the daughter of Jan (John) Kokosz and his wife, Mary Cichy Kokosz. both born in Poland.

There are some differences from the spelling of her married name which is given on the Death Certificate and the Obituary in the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader, the Evening News (Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, page 25 on Thursday, August 13, 1931. The last name on both these documents is spelled Wiernosz. And her maiden name is given as Frances Gezezhy in the obituary. This is the obituary:

MRS. MICHAEL WIERNOSZ - Mrs. Michael Wiernosz, 30, of 324 Center Street, Georgetown, died at 1:25 a.m. today in General Hospital of intestinal obstruction. She was admitted to the institution last night at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Wiernosz was born in Poland, her maiden name having been Frances Gezezhy and she had lived here for the last 15 years. Besides her husband she is survived by several children."
