Elizabeth M Wiernusz was the second wife of Michael Andrew Wiernusz. She was born in Poland and came to America as a girl. She appears to have been married three times, with Joseph Putek being her first husband in Poland with whom she had at least two children: Joseph Francis Putek (1912-2002) and Sophie (Putek) Podlaski the wife of Stanley Podlaski. The two children Joseph and Sophie came to America when they were 18 and 15 respectively aboard the Steam Ship Pennland arriving in New York City on 05 May 1930.

Elizabeth also was the wife of Andrew Scranta Sr. with whom she had at least the following children: Verna Scranta Roesky born 2 Jan 1908 died March 1980 in Philadelphia, PA, wife of Raymond L Roesky (1911-1975); Helen Scranta born 1915; Rosella Scranta born 1920; Francis Michael Scranta (1926-1991); Andrew Frank Scranta, Jr. (1928-2007); and Theodore J Scranta (1930-2009).

Following the deaths of her first two husbands she married a third time in 1935 Michael Andrew Wiernuz, he being a widower whose first wife, Frances (Rokosz) Wiernusz born in Poland in 1886 had died in Wilkes-Barre, PA on 13 Aug 1931 leaving him with several children including: Edmund Stanley Wiernusz (1918-1998) who married Julia Ciprich Wiernusz; Mary Wiernusz Chellis (1921-2012) wife of Charles Stephen Chellis (1908-1962); Anna Marie Wiernuz Stroka (1924-2013); Cecelia Theresa Wiernusz Kobylski (1925-2016) wife of John A Kobylski, Sr. ((1923-2014); Leonard Walter Wiernusz (1928-1990); Michael Andrew Wiernusz, Jr. (1929 - ) and Chester James Wiernusz (1936-2000)

After marrying in 1935, Michael Andrew Wiernusz and Elizabeth M (Tyrala) Putek Scranta Wiernusz had one child together Chester James Wiernusz (1936-2000) who married John Kobylski's younger sister, Irene Kobylski born in 1938.
