Richmond W. Flinchbaugh, 90, died at 10:55a.m., Monday, January 26, 2004, at the York County Nursing Home.

He was the husband of the late Luretta (Backel) Flinchbaugh.

Born on November 28, 1913, in Richmond, Va., a son of the late Emory F. and Rosa (Spangler) Flinchbaugh

He was retired from Readco, where he had worked as a machinist. He was a member of Springdale Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Mr. Flinchbaugh is survived by four sons, Rick L. Flinchbaugh of Wallkill, NY; Ronald Flinchbaugh of Tacoma, Wash.; E. David Flinchbaugh of Canonsburg, Pa.; and Arthur B. Flinchbaugh of Jamaica, NY; two daughters, Lorna M. Gentzler of York and Susan E. Irwin of Hanover; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Flinchbaugh of York; and a sister, Jacqueline Lauer of York. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara A. Miller, and a grandchild.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2p.m., Thursday, at Baumeister, Orcutt & Small Mortuaries, South Queen at Jackson Street, York, with Robert Lawson officiating.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Viewing will be from 1 to 2p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Springdale Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
