Luretta B. Flinchbaugh
Luretta B. (Backel) Flinchbaugh, 68, of 70 N. Emigs Mill Road, died Friday morning at York Hospital. She was the wife of Richmond W. Flinchbaugh.
A private service will be held at the Convenience of the family, with burial in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. There will be no viewing.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Aug. 25 at Kingdom Hall, 270 S. Belvedere Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall.
Baumeister and Orcutt Mortuary, South Queen and Jackson streets, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in York, Mrs. Flinchbaugh was the daughter of the late Lydia (Slenker) and Edward Backel. She was a member of the South York Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mrs. Flinchbaugh also is survived by four sons, Ronald Flinchbaugh, Tacoma, Wash.; David Flinchbaugh, Canonsburg, Pa.; Arthur Flinchbaugh, Jamaica, N.Y.; and Rick Flinchbaugh, Wallkill, N.Y.; three daughters, Barbara Miller, York; Lorna Gentzler, York; and Susan Irwin, Hanover; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Romaine Backel, Baltimore.
Mr. Carl E. Backel, of the South York Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, will conduct the service. 8-17-84
