David married Minnie May Darden 30 Sep 1907, in Talihini, OK. They eloped on a freight train to get married. After David died, his wife and children moved to California because they were mistreated by David's father and they blamed him for David's death. They changed their last name to "McGee" so as to be disassociated with the family.
