Amelia Droegemeier Dies in Rest Home

Mrs. Amelia Droegemeier, 71, 1135 N. Maple St., died Tuesday evening at the Ala Fern Skilled Nursing Home in Russell. Born October 12, 1901, in Russell, she lived most of her young life in the Russell community before moving to McCook, Neb., where she remained until 1962 when she returned to Russell.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, the ladies auxiliary and the Friendship Circle for United Methodist Women.

She is survived by the widower, D. S., of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Spencer and Mrs. Jim Hoffman, both of Russell, Mrs. Wayne Cling, McPherson, and Mrs. Carl Columbo, Eaglewood, Colo.; four brothers, Albert S. Dumler, Hobbs, N.M., and Bernard N. Dumler, Canadian, Tex. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one sister and three brothers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday from the church with Rev. Bert Rymph officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
