Her obituary and funeral card is in my files from Mrs. Janet Flickenger, they read:
Irene Georgina Yingling, daughter of Jacob Dumler Jr. and Mary Katherine (Beck) Dumler, was born Oct. 7, 1919 in Russell County, KS. Her death occurred July 4, 1992 in Russell Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 27 days.
Irene lived all her life in the Russell area, received her basic education in the local schools and for many years was employed as a telephone operator and as supervisor for the United Telephone Co. She retired from the telephone company and continued to make her home in Russell.
Nov. 18, 1945, she was united in marriage to Raymond Yingling at Russell, KS. After the death of her husband, Feb. 26, 1959, Irene resided in Russell at her home until her death.
She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church and for many years was active in the church functions.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; brothers: Alvin E. Dumler, Adolph Dumler, and Earl; and infant sisters, Mary & Rachael. Survivors are her sisters, Clara Ochs, Great Bend, KS and Frieda Strecker of Russell, KS, nine nieces and nephews, a number of other relatives and a host of friends.
