The daughter of Jacob Dumler, Jr., and Mary Katherine (Beck) Dumler, she was born Oct. 27, 1912, in Russell Kansas. She married Alvin L. Ochs, June 11, 1937, at Russell. She was a homemaker. After retiring from the family farm near Galatia, she moved to Great Bend in
1978, and later was a resident of the Cheyenne Meadows Living Center, Hoisington. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Great Bend.
Preceding her in death were: husband, a son, three brothers and four sisters; two of whom were infants. Survivors include: two sons, Lee E. Ochs, Overland Park; and Robert G. Ochs, Hoisington; two daughters, Mary K. Luman, Overland Park; and Carol A. Smith, West Milford, N.J.; numerous nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; three step grand-children; four great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.
The funeral was held March 19, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, with Rev. Diana Coberly officiating. The burial was conducted at the Hoisington Cemetery, Hoisington.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Christ Camp White, Cheyenne Meadows Living Center Avery Fund; or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and may be sent in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington.
