Helen GAUMER, 92, Rt. 3, Rochester, died at 11 a.m. today at Rochester Nursing Home where she had resided for two weeks.
Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, Rochesrter, is in charge of arrangements.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zimmerman Family Funeral Home for Helen GAUMER, 92, Rt. 2, Rochester.
The Rev. C. Allan HAZAN will officiate and burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. tonight and after 9 a.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Manitou Training Center.
She died at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Rochester Nursing Home, where she had lived for two weeks.
She founded the Fulton County Humane Society and was one of the founders of the Flying Hoofs Saddle Club. At her farm home on Monticello Road, she operated the Little Red Barn Kennels and housed hundreds of stray cats and dogs. In 1982 she received the Community Service Award from the Rochester Chamber of Commerce.
She lived most of her life in Fulton County. She owned the Manitou Beauty Salon in Rochester or 30 years and was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Christian Church.
Born on Oct. 25, 1900 in Sidell, Ill., to T.J. "Jeff" and Fanny MANNING GAUMER, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Russell (Lois) WILSON, Rochester, and Madge STEWART, Bremen; eight nieces and nephews, Mrs. Joe (Terry) MOORE and Tom and Rob WILSON, all of Rochester; Jane MILLS, Silverton, Ore.; Becky ROMAN, Indianapolis; James STEWART, South Bend; John GAUMER, Boise, Idaho, and Jeff GAUMER, Seattle, Wash. Preceding in death were two brothers, Floyd and Leonard GAUMER, and an infant sister.
