Fannie F. Gaumer
Mrs. Fannie Florence GAUMER, 86, died Friday at 7:30 p.m. at her home northwest of Rochester on the Burton road. Ill since last May, she had been in serious condition since Sept. 28.
Funeral rites will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Graham MARSH officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Gaumer was born April 10, 1876, in Fairmount, Ill., the daughter of Lawrence and Armilda Jane SWISHER MANNING Van CLEET. She had lived in this community 60 years, moving here from Sidell, Ill.
Her marriage was at Sidell on Dec. 15, 1897, to T.J. "Jeff" GAUMER, who died Dec. 4, 1951. Mrs. Gaumer was a member of the First Christian church here.
Surviving are three daughters, Miss Helen GAUMER, at home; Mrs. Russell (Lois) WILSON, Rochester, and Mrs. Garth (Madge) STEWART, Bremen; one son, Floyd GAUMER, Rochester; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One son, Leonard [GAUMER], died in 1955 and a daughter, Grace [GAUMER], died in infancy.
