Floyd M. Gaumer
Floyd M. GAUMER, 59, owner and operator of Gaumer's Sinclair station, died unexpectedly of a kidney ailment at 4:30 a.m. today in South Bend Memorial hospital. He had been ill two weeks.
A lifetime resident of Fulton county, Mr. Gaumer resided at 514 West Fifth street. He was born Aug. 24, 1907 to T. J. "Jeff" and Fannie MANNING GAUMER. He was married to Elva BUTLER Sept. 2, 1943 in Anniston, Ala., where he was stationed with the Army. He was a member of the First Christian church, I.O.O.F., the Chamber of Commerce and the Rochester American Legion post. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving with the wife are a son, Jeffery [GAUMER], at home, and three sisters, Helen GAUMER and Mrs. Russell (Lois) WILSON, both of Rochester, and Mrs. Garth (Madge) STEWART, Bremen.
Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Graham MARSH officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday.
