Services Held At Dodson for Ira C. Wynn
Ira C. Wynn, 65, a former Wellington and Dodson resident, who had lived in El Paso 6 years, died there Tuesday, February 15. He was a retired bookkeeper.
Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ in Dodson at 2:00 p.m. Friday, with Van Bonneau, minister, officiating. Burial was in Dudson Cemetery under the direction of Kelso Funeral Home.
Pall bearers were Ralph Wynn, Phillip Wynn, Kenneth Wynn, Buddy Wayne Wynn, Ed Wynn, and Loy Gordon.
Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Wynn, early settlers in the Dodson area, Ira Wynn was born there March 31, 1906, and grew up in the area. Later he lived in Wellington, moving from here in 1942.
Mr. Wynn was a veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion, Elks, and Church of Christ. He lived in Amarillo before moving to El Paso.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. J.M. Bulloch of Marshall; two sons, Tom Wayne Wynn of Serninole and Billy Kay Wynn of Hollywood, Florida; two brothers, H.A. Wynn of Childress; L.H. (Buddy) Wynn of Plainview; and two sisters Mrs. Katie Gordon of Miles and Mrs. Lillian Rollings of Las Cruces, N.M. There are 8 grandchildren.
