Obituary: Services Wed. For Mrs. Easley
Funeral services were held in the Higginbotham Funeral Chapel March 23 at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Annie Belle Luker Easley with Rev. J.E. Morton, Pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating.
She was born December 29, 1877, to George W. and Frances Graham Luker at Proctor. She was the first child born to the Luker family in Comanche County after leaving Alabama following the Civil War. On March 7, 1877, she was married to James William Easley at Proctor. They had three sons and four daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1950; by her son Earl in 1954 and her son Ray Luker in 1922.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Mayes of Brownwood, Mrs. Kathryn Mayes of Woodson, Mrs. Lucille Dameron and Mrs. Lois Walker, both of Stephenville; a son, L.B. Easley of De Leon; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Williams of Stephenville and Mrs. Kate Easley of Eldorado, Oklahoma; and one brother, Tom Luker of Comanche. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
