Edith M. Steim, 87, of 154 Steim St., Kittanning, died Saturday morning, July 23, 1983, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 29, 1896, in Clarion County, a daughter of Benjamin F. and Elizabeth (Kissinger) Sharer. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Kittanning and a Gold Star Mother. She is survived by six sons, Charles L. Matairie,, La., Robert J. of Vandergrift, George F. of Niles, Ohio and Randall P., Edward I. and William E., all of Kittanning; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Caruso of West Kittanning, Mrs. William (Leah) Lefchick of Ford City, Mrs. Charles (Patricia) Rupp of Indiana, Pa.; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard J. Steim in 1977; two sons, Benjamin L. in 1942 and Donald R. in 1969 and one daughter Helen Delp in 1972. STEIM - Friends of Edith M. Steim, 87, of 154 Steim St., Kittanning, who died Saturday, July 23, 1983, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Kittanning, where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kittanning. The Rev. Thomas E. Bertolina, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rimer Hill Cemetery, Madison Township. Arrangements by Snyder.
