BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Shipp was born August 29, 1915 in Cross Plains. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1951. He married Barbara Jean Minyard on April 21, 2000 in Pampa. Harmon was a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service for 20 years, retiring when he was 65. He was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II.

SURVIVORS: wife: Barbara Shipp of the home; daughter: Teresa Curfman and husband Kurt of Pampa; 2 sons: Clovis Shipp and wife Paulette of Brownwood and Don Shipp and wife Maxine of Wichita Falls; 2 sisters: Opal West of Lubbock and Louise Woods of Richmond, Virginia; 1 brother: Marvin Shipp of Springfield, Missouri; and a nephew: Mike Tennison and wife Loria of Pampa; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Harmon was preceded in death by his parents: Claude and Ruby Shipp; a brother: Albert Shipp; and 2 sisters: Claudie Tennison and Thelma Byrd.
