Olen Marvin Shipp, age 93, of Ozark, passed away January 1, 2017. Olen was born August 27, 1923 in Mullen, Texas to Claude and Ruby Shipp. He had two brothers and four sisters. Olen was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Infantry. The USAF was his career for 22 years then after his retirement he worked for 10 years in civil service as an air conditioning specialist.
Olen is survived by: His wife, Frankie; three children, Linda Bolin and husband Richard, Cherise Lynch and husband George, and Gary Shipp and wife Kay. Olen is also survived by four grandchildren, Jason Shipp, Eric Bolin, Marci Gudenkauf, and Andrew Shipp; as well as nine great-grandchildren, Addison, McKenna and Olivia Shipp, Ellie, Ashlyn and Jacob Bolin, Brody Danner; Beckham Shipp, and Grayson Gudenkauf. Two sisters also survive, Opal West and Louise Woods.
Interment in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
