OBITUARY;
Roy Randolf "Buster" Chisum, 93, died Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Kent County Nursing Home. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Jayton Cemetery under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Born February 10, 1913 in Winters, Texas, Buster was a son of the late Zannie Zedrick and Pearl (Peak) Chisum. Buster moved to Fisher County from Winters by covered wagon when he was just fourteen years old. He married Inez (Cheyne) in Spur in 1937. Buster was a farmer and rancher and, in his free time, he enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing and spending time at the lake house in Hubbard Creek. He also liked to cowboy. Buster attended the First Baptist Church in Jayton. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Raymond and Frank Chisum) and three sisters (Velma Cheyne, Mildred Thompson and Verna Lee Fisher).

Survivors include his wife, Inez Chisum of Jayton one son and daughter-in-law, Zannie and Connie Chisum of Jayton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Ben Spradling of Spur and Peggy and Jerry Lee of Lubbock; one brother, R.Z. Chisum of Spur; one sister, Katy Dyer of Hot Springs, AK and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
