Obituary, Overturf--
Amy Janet Overturf, the daughter of Henry and Amelia Vickers, was born at Edgar, Nebr., Nov 1, 1885. She passed away at her home near Edgar on Sunday evening, April 16, 1961 at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 15 days.
She grew to womanhood on her parents farm and in 1905 was united in marriage to Gourley Overturf. To this union were born Harry, Gracia ad Roger, each residing in the Edgar vicinity.
Early in her marriage she and her husband united with the Ong Methodist church (sic). She has served her Lord and His church faithfully until recently when failing health limited her activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband Aug 18, 1934. She is survived by her three children, Harry, Gracia (now Mrs. Einar Andersen) and Roger; sister, Mrs. Rose Davison of Sidney; a brother, Frank Vickers, of Auburn; eight grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian wife, mother and friend. Her presence will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Ong Methodist church (sic) Wednesday afternoon, April 19, with Rev. Delvin Roper in charge. Mrs. Delvin Roper sang "Going Home."
Pall bearers were Leonard Hill, Ivan George, Carl Hansen, Frank Starr Vernon Yost, and Clem Gowen.
Interment was in the Chappell Grove cemetery (sic),
