She married Henry William Vickers 3 Nov. 1884. They had five children, four of which lived. They were, Amy Jeannatte , Richard Henry, Rosa Hope & John Franklin "Frank".

Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia Vickers, 83, were held Sunday at the Shickley Methodist church (sic). Mrs. Vickers was the first white child in Nemaha county (sic). She lived on a farm north of Ong for several years. She moved to Ong with her husband about thirty years ago. For the past few years she has been living with her children, Mrs. Vickers fell last fall and broke her hip and since that time has been at the Geneva hospital until the time of her death. Mrs. Vickers died Thursday evening. Surviving are four children, two daughters, Mrs. Rose Davison of Sidney and Mrs. Amy Overturf of Edgar, two sons, Richard of Shickley and Frank of Brownville, a number of grandchildren several great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Burial was made at the Grove Chappell cemetery (sic) north of Ong.
