Mary Erickson (baptised as Marie Erikson) was born on May 27, 1880 in Kimball Township, Jackson County, Minnesota. She was the fourth of seven children born to Just O. and Pernella (Larsdatter) Erickson. She was baptised on July 11, 1880 in Bethany Lutheran Church. She was confirmed on November 11, 1894 at age 14 at Hauges Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was raised on her father's farm until on September 12, 1907, she married Andrew Hansen at Lakefield, Jackson County, Minnesota. They had 3 children: Nellie in 1908, Hank in 1911, and Albert in 1914. They raised their children on their farm in Enterprise Township, located just a few miles from the farm she grew up on. Mary died on June 30, 1949 in Jackson County at age 69. (Biography by Brandon Hess)
