FUNERAL
MR. E. A. BAKER
The funeral of Mr. Edward Arthur Baker, of George-street. North Wagga, whose death occurred at a late hour an Friday night in the Wagga Base Hospital, after a short illness, took place on Saturday afternoon. Mr. Baker was born at Lake Albert and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Baker, of Woolshed Farm, Lake Albert. He was well known In Wagga and surrounding districts, where he spent all his life. For many years he was a well appreciated employee of Messrs. T. V. and R. L. Brunskill, of Forest Hill. A representative cortege moved from the premises of Mr. Alan Harris, 149 Baylis-street, Wagga, for the interment in the Methodist division of the Wagga cemetery, where many more friends had Joined to pay their last respect to the deceased. The Rev. H. Green officiated at the graveside. The casket was carried by Messrs. F. H., O. S., D. J., and J. Baker (brothers), E. B. Baker (nephew), and C. J. Rush (brother-in-law). The floral tray was in the care of Mr. Stephen Baker (cousin), Constable J. Walsh, Messrs. T. V. Brunskill, and Roy Tapscott (very close friends of the deceased. His chief mourners present, in addition to those mentioned, were Mrs. C. J. Rush and Mrs. E. Denton (sisters), Mrs. F. H. and O. S. Baker (sisters-in-law), Mrs. L. Jones and Lettie, Daisy, and Hilda Rush (nieces), Mr. and Mrs. G. Sells (nephew and niece), Eric Baker (nephew), Mr. E. Denton (brother in-law), Messrs. F. A. Baker and E. Baker (cousins). Among the many friends present were Mr. and Mrs, Hale (Gregadoo), Mrs. Graham (Lake Albert), Mr. Nugent (of W. G. Huth waite and Co.), R. G. and G. E. Hale, Mr. and Mrs. T. Nixon (Lake Albert), Mr. and Mrs. James Lockett and sons (Gregadoo), Mr. and Mrs. Southwell (Gregadoo), Mrs. J. M'Pherson (Gregadoo), Mrs. A. Hanell, Mr. and Mrs. J. Hegney, Mrs. Butler, Mr. J. Qulg ley, Mrs. J. Walsh, Mr. N. Simpson, sen., Mrs. F. J. Tilden, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. Piper, Mr. L. Hastie, Mr. and Mrs. C. Sells (Borambola), Mr. and Mrs. J. Roohan (Little Springs), Mr. and Mrs. T. Seckold (Lake Albert), Messrs. J. and N, Smith, A. Gill, R. Bellenger, H. Foster, J. Hogan, L. Miles, T. Best, G. Fox, Mesdames A, Rudd and G. Fox. Among the many beautiful floral tributes was a wreath from the employees of Messrs. T. V. and R. L. Brunskill. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. Alan Harris, of Wagga.
