Ann married Rodger Watson, on Dec 11, 1849, in Lafayette Co AR. She was the daughter of John Clemmons & Sarah A [Howard] Nix, and sister of Polly Nix White, who married Benjamin White, of Bowie Co TX.

Ann's known siblings were:

baby Nix--------------1819-1819--------m. Died as baby
Polly-------------------1821-1855--------m. Benjamin White-----------------------------abt1840/41
Sarah Ann------------1825-bef1860----m.1.Benjamin Nix-1stcousin------ ----------abt-1843

Ellen S 'Elinor'-------1834-1866--------m. 1st Jas Hurt 1855, 2d Nathan Jackson------1861
John B Clemmons--1835-1926--------m.1st Nancy Akin 1859/60,2dEleanorHerring-1886
Martha-----------------No Info. -----------m. said to have married a N Jackson--------No date

Annie was on the 1900 Census Eastland Co TX, with her husband and daughter, and three of Eva's children. Ann is listed as 73yrs old, born Sep 1828, with 1 child, the marriage year and birth date are probably incorrect, on the 1900 census.

It is note worthy that all the census records showed different birth years, for Annie. For the sake of reducing confusion am using the Birth Date on Ann's grave marker, however, please note, that it is INCORRECT, she could not have been born in 1840, the 1900 census appears to be mostly correct, born Sept 1826, she was the 4th daughter born, after sister Sarah Ann Nix born about 1824/1825 SC. They arrived in Texas Feb 17, 1846, by 1850 census Ann was NOT on her mothers census, she was married to Rodger Watson 1849. If she was born 1840 she would only have been 9 years old, when she married, Sept 1826, I believed is the better date. This grave markers date was probably recorded by a family member, using their best memory and guessed the birth date, of course this was common in those days.

Rodger & Ann had 1 known child:
Eveline "Eva" (Evelyn) Watson McDowell, she was born Sep 15, 1850 in Texas. She died Dec 13, 1932 and is buried at Ranger Eastland Co TX. She married a Ephraim McDowell, they had four known children.

1860 Census Lafayette Co AR, Rodger & Ann Nix Watson, are living next door to her brother John Nix. Living in her household is Eveline Watson, their daughter, 8 yrs old, and 3 minors, of her deceased sister Sarah Nix who married her 1st cousin Ben Nix.
