Rodger Watson is one of the brothers of Cory Watson, also buried in this cemetery. Their parents were James Watson (b 1782 in SC, d 1842 in Bowie County, TX), and Rhoda Barfield Watson (b 1793 in SC, d 1860 in Bowie County, TX).
