RALPH E. HARRIS
Ralph Edward Harris, 23, 405 Bay Street, was killed instantly last night at 9:30 o'clock at the corner of South Fourth and Bay Streets in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m., at the Collier-Butler Chapel with the Rev. J. H. Wade, Sr., officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery with Collier-Butler directing.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Minyard, George Allen Graham, Joe Horton, H.D. Wellington, Jr., Kenneth Dooley, Guy Bigham, Vance Steele and Jimmy Bigham.
Honorary pallbearers will be the personnel of Collier-Butler Funeral Home, Joe C. Lee and Kenneth D. Croley.
The body will remain at Collier-Butler Chapel through the hour of the service.
A native and life long resident of Etowah County, he was a member of the Baptist Church.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served four years with the U. S. Navy.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Harris; three sisters, Mrs. A.D. Partee and Mrs. Rayford Usrey, both of Gadsden; Mrs. Marion White, Jr., Route 2, Attalla; a brother, Jackie Harris, Gadsden; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Quinn, Alabama City and his grandmother, Mrs. Cora Harris, Birmingham.
