Jackie Lamar Harris was the son of J. B. Harris and Thelma Mae Quinn Harris.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Crestwood Chapel for Jackie Lamar Harris, 62, Glencoe, who died Saturday, March 15, 2003. Dr. Ronnie Hood Jr. will officiate. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Louis Street Baptist Church. Mr. Harris was employed by the City of Gadsden as director of parks. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. B. and Thelma Harris; sisters, Carolyn Harris and Alice Usrey; and brother, Ralph Harris

He is survived by his wife, Neilda Walker Harris; children, Christi (Allen) Norton, Scott (Dawn) Harris, and Timeka Robertson; grandchildren, Sam and Callie Norton and Colton and Bailey Harris; sisters, Dorothy (Dawson) Partee and Sue (Jr.) White; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lowell Davis, Rex Davis, Wayne Farley, Jackie Kell, Dallas McElroy and Al Murray. Honorary pallbeareers will be employees of the City of Gadsden Parks Department.
