Martha C. McDonald, Winterset
Services for Martha C. McDonald, 65, Winterset, who died June 9 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital were held Tues. June 12, at the Collins Funeral Home. Burial was at the Chase-McDonald Cemetery.
Born in Ottumwa on May 28, 1925, she was the daughter of Harry and Emma Ferguson Overturf She was a babysitter for many years and a homemaker.
On August 28, 1945, she was married to Harold "Whitey" McDonald at Camp Hood, Texas. She had lived here 49 years after coming from Ottumwa.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Tom of Winterset; a daughter, Terry Holliday of Des Moines; brothers, Steven and George Overturf, both of Ottumwa, a sister, Margaret Swanson of Ottumwa; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
