GEORGE BROWN, 77, OF RURAL NOVINGER DIES
Retired Farmer; Funeral Services Here Thursday
George Brown, 77, of Route 3, Novinger, died at 8:55 this morning in a Kirksville hospital where he had been a patient for one week.
Funeral services will be held in the Dee Riley Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at two o'clock with C. E. Davis, pastor of the South Side Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in the Novinger cemetery.
The son of Richard A. and Susan (Shoop) Brown, he was born on December 12, 1884, in Adair county. He married Myrtle Royse on Oct. 24, 1910, and to this marriage three children were born.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Raleigh (Lena) Siegle of Kirksville, Mrs. John M. (Gladys) Peterson of Greentop, and Mrs. Ralph (Vina) Willard of Topeka, Kas.; one brother, Walter L. Brown of Novinger; three sisters, Maude Elsea, Carrie Green and Ollie Allen, all of Kirksville; one grand child and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Brown had lived his entire life in Adair county and was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Bethel church.
