Born at sea just before her parents arrival in Sydney Australia on Dec 6, 1832.

She married 3 times. First to Thomas Facey who was on the ship Gulnare that carried Dorothy, her mother and sisters from Sydney to San Francisco in 1852; second to Peter Dolan and last to Thomas Carson (sons Thomas [memorial 46198980] and Charles). There were children by all three marriages but only the Dolan line continues.

Both the Australia Birth Index, 1788-1922 and New South Wales (Australia) Church Records attest to Dorothy being born aboard ship before arrival at Sydney.
