"Weir, Andrew, in San Francisco, November 12, 1857 of inflammation of the lungs. Mr. Andrew Weir, a native of Newry, Ireland, aged 63."
Originally buried in Yerba Buena Cemetery in SF, first removed to Laural Hill Cemetery in SF (grave 3709), and finally to Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Colma.
The Lexigraphical Index to All Passengers to Sydney, New South Wales, 1828 to 1842 contains the following entry for Andrew:
"Name: Andrew Weir; Age 30; Occupation: joiner and carpenter; Wife: Mrs. - age 24; Children: 2 daughters; Ship: Lavinia arrived 1832 -- vol.1a"
Assisted Immigration Inward to Sydney, 1828-1890 lists the Lavinia as arriving December 6, 1832 and has, at the end of the list of passengers, the following entry:
"Name: Andrew Weir; Age 30; Trade: jointer and carpenter; Family: wife 24 and 2 female children: Ship arrived: Lavinia; Advance Date: December 12, 1832; Advance amount: 20 pounds,"
