Hilma Nicholls Wheat, 64, died Sunday, February 20, 1983 at North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell of cancer. She had been a longtime Lovell resident except for a short time spent in California. She was born April 29, 1918 in Lovell, the daughter of Charles H. and Chresta Nicholls. She married Samuel C. Harmon on July 7, 1934 in Billings, Montana.
She was a retired cook and also worked as a general distributor for Manna Vita Corporation. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was divorced from Mr. Harmon and in 1958 she married Jerome Wheat. He died in 1976.
Survivors include one son, Ralph E. Harmon of Burbank, California; one daughter, Myrna H. Jolley of Lovell; one brother, Clyde Nicholls of Byron; three sisters, Annie Shumway of Lovell, Naomi Fales of LeBarge, Wyoming, and Kate Cozzens of Deaver, Wyoming; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 25, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lovell LDS Church with Bishop Douglas Savage conducting. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
