Charles Herbert Nicholls, 86, retired stockman of Lovell, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the North Big Horn Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Big Horn Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints stake building. Bishop Ray Harston will officiate. The Haskell Funeral Home will direct burial in the Lovell city cemetery.
Mr. Nicholls was born Dec. 10, 1875, in Steffordshire, England. He came to the Lovell area as a boy of 6. He married Chresta Loa Hartley July 31, 1899, in Leeds, Utah. She died in March 1960.
Surviving are three sons, William of Seattle, Herbert of Lovell and Clyde B. of Byron; six daughters, Mrs. Irma Glasgow of El Monte, Calif., Mrs. Jacie Bassett, Mrs. Noma Fales and Mrs. Annie Shumway of Lovell, Mrs. Kate Cozzens of Deaver and Mrs. Hilma Wheat of Burbank, Calif.; his brother, Arthur Nicholls of Lovell; 38 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.
