Funeral services for Rollin H. Chilcote of Smith Valley, Cass Township, whose sudden death Sunday came as a shock to his family and friends, will be held at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs Monroe Chilcote, in Smith Valley, on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev R L Fritz, of Cassville, will conduct the services. Interment will be made in Bowman's Chapel cemetery. Leslie Green, of Three Springs is the funeral director. Rollin H. Chilcote was born in Smith Valley, a son of Monroe and Nora Chilcote on March 24, 1902, and at the time of death was aged 35 years, 10 months and 12 days. Practically all his life had been spent in the valley, where he was well known and highly respected. He was better known to his friends as "Dick". Surviving besides his parents are the following brothers and sisters: Jesse Chilcote of Hares Valley, Kitty, wife of Everett Nycum of Saltillo, Dewey Chilcote of Mount Union, Edna, wife of Edward Miller of Williamsburg, Walter Chilcote in Smith Valley, and Freda, wife of Raymond Pannebaker of Shore Valley.
