Mrs. Nora Alice Chilcote of Mapleton Depot, RD, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 1957, at her late home. She had been ill since November 1956 when she fell and suffered a broken hip. She was born on January 23, 1874, in Cass Township, daughter of Ephraim and Mary (Wright) Dell. She was married to Monroe Chilcote on January 28,1892. He preceded her in death in 1951. Mrs Chilcote is survived by three daughters, Mrs Everett (Kathryn) Nycum of Saltillo, Mrs E J (Edna) Miller of Williamsburg, Mrs Austin (Freda) Ramsey and three sons, Jesse Chilcote of Mapleton Depot RD, Dewey Chilcote of Mount Union and Walter Chilcote of Calvin. One daughter and two sons preceded her in death. There are 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Mrs Dorothy Heck of Huntingdon and two brothers, Anderson Dell and Chalmer Dell, both of Mapleton Depot. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at 2 p.m. from Bowman's Chapel Church with Rev Joseph A Wagner officiating, assisted by the Rev Samuel R Kissiel. Interment will be at the Bowmans Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home in Smith Valley after 7 p.m. today and until 11 a.m. Wednesday and then at the church until the time for the services.
