Dee is said to be the first white child born in Ochiltree County. He moved with his parents to Glazier in 1907. Dee never married and is located in the 1930 U.S. census in Hemphill County, Texas, living with his eighty year old mother and his brother, Tom. Dee was killed on April 9, 1947, at Glazier, Hemphill County, Texas, in the same tornado which killed his brother, Tom, when it struck Glazier and Higgins killing 41 residents and virtually destroying the town of Glazier. His name is included in a list of those killed which was published in an account of the tornado damage appearing in the Canadian Record 10 April 1947.
